McGuinness’s only previous four-wheeled racing experience came in the Fun Cup last year – when he finished 12th at Donington Park alongside downhill mountain bike ace Steve Peat – as well as a few rallycross events.
But he was tempted by the opportunity to race in the Ginetta series at the British GT event after a test in a G56 GTA car at Croft.
